These trivets are a useful, modern accessory for your kitchen or dining room. The carved patterns reflect light and reveal the natural grain of the wood.

Our blackened maple trivets are finished with a traditional Japanese carpentry technique long used to seal wood and protect it against the effects of moisture and fire. Through the process of shou sugi ban, the surface of the wood is scorched with flame and then treated with a penetrating oil.
